Original Vintage Lobby Card Movie Poster (11x14")

Highly Rare Original 1918 Release lobby card for this Chaplin classic in which he starred and Directed.  Very Good condition with slightly trimmed borders.  That said quite nice condition for 104 years old !    And, one of the best graphics you will ever see on a Chaplin lobby card or movie poster.

Note:  Original 1918 movie paper for this Chaplin title is extremely scarce.  Based on the last 30 years of auction records, this is the ONLY 1918 lobby card that has ever  appeared on the market.   Up until now, Only 1922 Re-release posters and lobby cards have surfaced.

Shoulder Arms (First National, 1918). Fine. Trimmed Title Lobby Card (10" X 13.25").
Charlie Chaplin made this comedy that was released shortly before the end of World War I. In this production the little tramp turns in his bowler hat for a soldier's uniform and reports to boot camp. He is constantly at odds with his drill instructor and gets placed in the "Awkward Squad." The film then highlights several of Charlie's victorious battles against the enemy where he ends up being hailed as a hero. As the film closes poor ol' Charlie is shaken awake by his drill instructor, and realizes it was all just a dream.

Note:   While there has been 1922 Re-release movie paper from this title this is the First Original 1918 poster of any kind we could find on this highly scarce vintage Chaplin film.
