For you historical Photography and Military Collectors here is an amazing TYPE 1 vintage photo, from 1944 of soldiers on the Beach of Normandy, France during that infamous day referred to as D-Day.

A total of 4,414 Allied troops were killed on D-Day itself, including 2,501 Americans. More than 5,000 were wounded. In the ensuing Battle of Normandy, 73,000 Allied forces were killed and 153,000 wounded.

This photo was captured by legendary photographers the Brown Brothers.  The Brown Brothers was the nation's oldest stock photo agency, established in New York in 1904.  You can find an abundant of historical data online about them.     Has the Brown Brothers stamp on back from both thier NY City Office and their stamp from when they moved in 1972 to thier PA Office.

Condition: Very Good with just expected border wear and minor creasing on mostly upper lteft corner border.  Has attractive vintage sepia patina, which is a nice additional layer of authenticity.
