Abbott and Costello Original Vintage Movie Theater Posters Film Memorabilia Collectibles horror comedy For Sale
Hold That Ghost, 1941
Original Vintage Title Lobby Card Movie Poster (11x14")
Starring Bud Abbott and Lou Costello

It was only their 3rd feature film together.  But their 1941 Horror/Comedy classic "HOLD THAT GHOST' is one of their finest.    But, 80 years ago, whoever knew the original movie posters would be so scarce and highly sought after, like this 1948 rerelease Title card...   Of all the A&C Titles this is probably the most difficult to collect due to the scarcity of Original material.  And ironically the 1948 rerelease paper, like this title card , is even MORE scarce then from the 1941 release.  As a matter of fact, this is the ONLY Title Card that has ever appeared on the market, based on our research.    The largest movie poster auction house has sold four of the 1941 Title Cards, but has NEVER sold a 1948 Title Card like this  one we are offering.  And the graphics on this 1948 release title card are, in our opinion, nicer then the 1941 card which also features terrific border graphics of their co stars. .

Condition is Very Good, with just a v tear in the upper right over the text "Those Fanatics" which doesn't affect the imager area.  But, thus could easily be corrected with minor restoration.   * See enlargeable image above

Hold That Ghost (Universal, 1948). Title Lobby Card for the 1948 Re-release  (11" X 14").
Bud Abbott and Lou Costello carried their comedy routines to new heights in this frighteningly funny chiller as the boys inherit a gangster's haunted house where bodies keep turning up. This highly coveted title card not only features A & C, but also the famed Andrews Sisters and band leader Ted Lewis...
One of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello's best films and one of the funniest movies to parody two staples of early cinema, the Haunted House movie and the Gangster melodrama. For musical comedy lovers The Andrews Sisters doing "Sleepy Serenade"
