One of the most astonishing Original Vintage TYPE 1 Harry Houdini photos we’ve  acquired.
Condition:  Very good for 103+ years old.  Has minor chips from the top border area that doesn’t affect the breath-taking close up image of Harry Houdini hanging from the Boston Post Building in December of 1921.

1921 Harry Houdini, "Straight Jacket Escape in Boston” Public Christmas Stunt

1921 Absolutely incredible photograph of magician Harry Houdini as he tested the cable that would suspend him in the air, at the Boston Post Building where he would attempt to free himself from a straight-jacket. This was part of a Christmas fund event in Boston to raise money where Houdini was the main attraction of the event. One of Houdini's most incredible images we have ever seen, this was issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well. Offered here for the first time ever, directly from the archives of Underwood and Underwood, the photo exhibits exceptional clarity with note to a couple chips off the top border. We have never seen this photograph offered for sale in any form before!
